San Diego, the second largest city in California, is known for many things... but visual art is not typically one of them.

It's not that we don't have a vibrant, interesting, and extremely diverse art scene, it's just that our "scene" is spread out and spread thin. Artists here rarely get the recognition or press they would get in other large cities. Amazing and talented local artists remain underrepresented and unknown by their peers, art professionals, and enthusiasts. The art scene here exists in pockets-- little communities that don't often overlap.

Our intention is to force this overlap. In each episode we will take one established San Diego Art World Insider and extract them from their comfort zone. We will drop them into a place they have never been to, have never heard of, and would never go otherwise.

Our intention is to form new networks, expand awareness, and showcase artists and art that is worthy of exposure.
